Handwrite envelopes for personal correspondence in ink. Titles and decorations should be written out in full.
Personal letters should be sent in diamond-flapped envelopes that match the writing paper. Always use a stamp (stuck straight) – never a franking machine – at home.
Brown envelopes, A4 printer-type paper and envelopes with flat flaps are only suitable for office use, not personal correspondence.
