Preparing the Team

Ushers and general bridesmaids will have limited duties before the day, but they must understand what is expected of them.

- Time should be allowed to fully brief the team well before the wedding.
- It must never be assumed that members of the wedding party will know what to do.
- They must be aware of the responsibilities they are taking on right from the start.

If the team don't know each other it is wise to arrange some get-togethers before the wedding. A few dinners will ease any unfamiliar awkwardness at the hen and stag parties. Also, the better the wedding team knows each other, the better they will work together on the day.
