Reception Arrival Drinks

Reception Drinks Intro.jpg

It is usual to provide a specific area for arrival drinks; waiters and waitresses should be ready and waiting with refreshments. Upon arrival at the reception, the ushers should guide guests in the right direction.

Popular arrival drinks include champagne, Pimm's, wine and beer. Guests will be hungry so canapés are a worthwhile investment.

An hour and a half to two hours should be allocated for the arrival drinks, with a further half an hour allowed for the guests to seat themselves for the meal.
