Westminster Abbey

With a history that dates back more than a thousand years, Westminster Abbey has played an important role in the life of the Royal Family. The Abbey has been a coronation church since William the Conqueror was crowned there in 1066, and has been the venue for 38 coronations. It is the final resting place of 17 monarchs and has also played host to 15 Royal weddings.
