Although he is 11th in line to the throne, Peter Phillips does not have a royal title as his mother, Princess Anne, declined to give her children the HRH title at birth.

He met his future wife, Autumn Kelly, who is Canadian, at the Canadian Grand Prix, when he was working for Williams FI.

Autumn Kelly was born and brought up a Roman Catholic but renounced her faith shortly before their wedding so her husband-to-be did not have to give up his claim to the throne.
They were married in Windsor on 17 May 2008

The Phillipses lived in Hong Kong after he moved jobs within the Royal Bank of Scotland to head their sponsorships activities in the region. They now live in London where he continues to work for the bank.

Their first child, and the Queen's first great-grandchild, a daughter named Savannah, was born on 29 December 2010. Savannah Phillips was baptised on Saturday, 23 April 2011, at Holy Cross Church in Avening, Gloucestershire, near the Princess Royal's home, Gatcombe Park, with the Queen present . Autumn Kelly is expecting another baby in March 2012.

Zara Phillips followed in her mother's and grandmother's footsteps and is a passionate horsewoman. She is a world champion eventer, who was named BBC Sports Personality of the Year in 2006, 35 years after her mother Princess Anne received the honour. The award marked the climax to a thrilling year for Phillips, who won both world and European equestrian titles on her horse, Toytown.

In 2011 she married England rugby captain Mike Tindall at Canongate Kirk, Edinburgh. Dressed by one of her grandmonther's favourite designers, Stewart Parvin, she took part in a relatively low key wedding, which was neverthelss extended by many celebrities and members of the royal family and drew crowds of several thousand to the Edinburgh streets. The Yorkshire Post commemorated the occasion with the memorable headline: 'Queen's granddaughter to wed ex-fish and chip fryer from Otley"

Unfortunately, the England rugby team's disappointing performance in the World Cup in Autumn 2011, and Tindall's drunken antics, led to scandal in the newspaper and Tindall was dropped from the England squad. Zara Phillips dealt with the public debacle with her grandmother's sang-froid.
