The Queen's annual calendar encompasses a number of state occasions. She regularly hosts State Banquests at Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle for visiting Heads of State. She attends. in full regalia, the annual State Opening of Parliament and gives the Queen's Speech every autumn. In June she attends the Trooping the Colour, renowned for its pageantry and balcony appearance by the Royal Family.
