The Great Spring Gardening Event
24 April, 2013
Whitfield Estate, Wormbridge, Herefordshire
Now in its 16th year, the 2013 Spring Gardening Event in aid of the Red Cross will be held at the Whitfield Estate, a venue not usually open to the public.
It's a great opportunity to enjoy the stunning gardens and grounds surrounding the impressive Whitfield Estate in Hereford and browse an array of quality stalls.
The event will take place on the parkland, but visitors can enjoy some of the private gardens featuring wild flowers, ponds, a walled garden, many flowering Magnolias (species and hybrids), woodland walks and a ginkgo tree dating from 1780.
There will be around 80 quality exhibitors selling an array of garden related items, plants, country clothing and outdoor lifestyle products.
The event attracts over 2,000 people annually and raises approximately £35,000 for the Red Cross.
Tickets to the event are £6 in advance and £7 on the gate. Tickets are available from the website.
