Now in its twenty-fourth year, this popular festival offers the jazz enthusiast a range of styles, from New Orleans, Dixieland and swing to bebop, postbop and contemporary.

Jazz gigs are staged at a range of venues around this pretty seaside town, including three Marquees for headline events. Stroller tickets for the entire weekend cover everything except the Friday afternoon jazz cruise. Throughout the weekend there are free events in pubs throughout the town, a brass band parade and a church concert of spirituals and gospel music on Sunday morning.

In spite of inclement weather in 2012, the Festival was deemed a success by its attendees and many will be hoping for a much drier weekend in 2013.

The line-up and programme details are yet to be announced, and tickets are expected to go on sale in early February.
