Sporting Events

A full calendar of events is lined up each year for car lovers and racing enthusiasts.

For most, the premier events are the Formula One Grand Prix races. Running from March to November, the Grand Prix calendar spans the continent, from Bahrain and Melbourne to Abu Dhabi and Barcelona. Some of the events - such as Silverstone and Monza - have long historic traditions, and are rooted in the history of motor racing. In 2012 the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas,  is hosting its very first Grand Prix.

For lovers of other car events, there are rallies through the dramatic and rugged scenery of the Atlas Mountains, or 24-hour endurance racing in sports cars at Le Mans.

Veteran car lovers can indulge in their passion for the golden age of motoring at the Mille Miglia, London to Brighton Car Run or the Goodwood Revival.
