On Tour: Debrett's New Season
From Glyndebourne to Glastonbury - A social calendar for the 21st century
09 March, 2013
Murrayfield, Edinburgh

Murrayfield is the largest rugby stadium in Scotland, with a
seating capacity of just over 67,000. It is the home of the
Scottish Rugby Union. It has a history dating
back to 1925, only interrupted during the Second World War when the
ground was requisitioned as a supply depot. It is situated in the
west of Edinburgh, just off Corstorphine Road.
When the rugby excitement is over, you can explore Edinburgh
Castle, or try a drive to Hopetoun House for some stately Georgian
majesty. Admire the impressive collections of contemporary art at
the Modern Art Galleries, set in extensive parkland that also
serves as a sculpture park.
