On Tour: Debrett's New Season
From Glyndebourne to Glastonbury - A social calendar for the 21st century
09 February, 2013
Murrayfield, Edinburgh

Situated in Edinburgh, Murrayfield is the largest rugby stadium in Scotland, with a seating capacity of just over 67,000. It is the home of the Scottish Rugby Union with a history dating back to 1925, only interrupted during the Second World War when the ground was requisitioned as a supply depot.
When the rugby is over, there are plenty of local sites to explore, including: Edinburgh Castle, or a drive to Hopetoun House for some stately Georgian majesty. Admire the impressive collection of contemporary art at the Modern Art Galleries set in an extensive parkland that also serves as a sculpture park.
Italy's 13-6 victory in 2012 condemned the Scots to their first wooden spoon since 2007.
