Launched in 2010, the South Korean Grand
Prix is held at a brand new circuit, created by the renowned track
designer, Hermann Tilke.
The 5.6-km site is located 210 km south of the capital Seoul, on
reclaimed land alongside an artificial seaside lake. The main
circuit includes Asia's longest straight stretch (1.2km) enabling
speeds to build up to 320km per hour.
There is seating to accommodate 135,000 spectators.
World champion Sebastian Vettel won the 2012 race in the midst of an extraordinary run of 4 wins in 4 races.
