For five days in early autumn Briain's leading literary lights
gather in this pretty riverside town for 100 literary events.
Venues range from the Town Hall and Kenton theatre to the Phyllis
Court Club and River and Rowing Museum.
Literary celebrities appearing this year include: Max Hastings,
Rachel Johnson, Blake Morrison, Jonathan Coe, the Duchess of
Devonshire, Lionel Shriver, Andrew Rawnsley, Melvyn Bragg,
Penelope Lively andAntonia Fraser
The speakers are drawn from the field of politics and current affairs, fiction, biography, history, lifestyle, sport and poetry and children's literature.
