Now in its 31st year, the Henley Festival - described as 'the summer's greatest party' - is held over five atmospheric July evenings on the banks of the Thames about 65 km (40 miles) from London, with visitors able to enjoy outdoor performances of music, dance and street theatre (some of them on a floating stage), visual arts displays and a firework finale accompanied by music. The Festival features the worlds of jazz, opera, pop, theatre, comedy, cabaret and literature while pop-up art boutiques and sculpture lawns bring major galleries and artists to Henley.

This feast of music and performance is enhanced by al fresco eating and drinking opportunities in a variety of settings, whether it be Heston Blumenthal's gastropub inspired menu from The Hinds Head Bray or the Veuve Clicquot Terrace Restaurant, directly overlooking the river. Guests can also enjoy candlelit dinners at award winning chefs Albert and Michel Roux Jr's riverside restaurant. Luxury picnics can be pre-ordered.

Programme details for 2013 are yet to be announced.
