The second test match of South Africa's summer tour takes place at Headingley Carnegie Cricket Ground, near Leeds, in early August.

Home to Yorkshire County Cricket Club (plus Leeds' rugby league and rugby union teams at an adjoining ground sharing the main stand), Leeds' Headingley Carnegie Stadium first hosted Test cricket in 1899.

In 1930 Headingley witnessed Donald Bradman's epoch-making innings of 334 in the Ashes Test. In 1981 England beat Australia by 18 runs here, providing what some claim to be Test cricket's most incredible reversal (odds were 500-1 against an England victory).

Current seating capacity at the ground is 17,000; redevelopment plans were announced in 2006. The newly renovated ground was renamed the Headingley Carnegie Stadium; its seating capacity will increase to 20,000 and ambitious plans include a £12 million new pavilion and Media Centre.
