The Christkindelsmarkt nestles under the glamorous Kurhaus, the focal point of this famous spa town. The colonnades are lit up by thousands of lights throughout the festive run-up to Christmas, and the town is alive with music and revellers.

Choirs, orchestras and bands, performing on the stage in front of the Kurhaus, all help to make this market a delight.

There are over 50 beautifully decorated stands, selling an extensive array of local products.

One of the main attractions is the living crèche, with real lambs, sheep and a shepherd gathered around a life-size manger - a real draw for children.
