The sister event to Switzerland's Art Basel, this is the highlight of the arts calendar in the USA. It encompasses an international selection of exhibitions from top galleries, as well as a programme of events, including music, talks and parties.

Over 260 leading galleries exhibit at the event. Over 2,000 20th- and 21st -century artworks are on show from the USA, South America, Europe, Asia and Africa. The show exhibits a broad spectrum of art in various media, ranging from world-renowned artists to innovative work from rising stars.

Local museums in South Florida offer an extensive programme of complementary exhibitions and events, turning Miami and its environs into an art lover's paradise.

The Art Fair itself centred on Miami Beach Convention Center, which is only minutes from Miami International Airport, and within easy walking distance of the famous South Beach Art Deco district.
