Massive crowds flock to the Manchester stadium to watch the two teams go head to head, and the atmosphere in the stadium is electric. There is pre-match entertainment, with a line-up of famous musicians getting the capacity crowds into the mood.
The Superleague is Europe's top-level professional rugby league competition, and encompasses 14 teams: 12 from England, one from Wales and one from France, which compete between February and October.
The switch to a summer season in rugby league took place in 1996 - the first time in a century that the competition was held in the summer months.
During the Superleague's regular season, teams play 27 games. In September, the top six teams compete in the play-offs, which culminate in the Grand Final.
