Managing Stress
Your body will respond to the ways in which you
think, feel and act.
Often stress and anxiety will weaken your body's immune system, making you more susceptible to infections.
Watch out for the following indicators that your health is being compromised by stress:
• Sleep problems
• Extreme fatigue
• Back pain or stiff neck
• Weight fluctuations
• Palpitations
• Shortness of breath
• Upset stomach, constipation or diarrhoea
• Dry mouth
Maintaining a positive attitude and feeling in control of your life will reduce your stress level. If necessary seek help to manage stress - you may find meditative techniques will help you to slow down.
Try and see friends and relatives regularly and mix with other
groups as social activity not only makes other activities more
enjoyable but also helps reduce stress levels.
