Pros

Squash, in particular, is very good for the heart. Racquet sports - squash, badminton, tennis - should not to be attempted at anything other than a basic level unless you are fit in the first place.

What they work: heart and lungs will get great benefits, though there will be no strength building.

Cons

There is a chance of injury (eg tennis elbow), while squash is a high-impact sport - both your knees on the ground and, occasionally, your opponent's racquet in the face.
