The goal of these therapies is to unblock and re-balance the invisible energy pathways that many practitioners believe flow through the body,
Sometimes called zone therapy, this is a form of therapy in which the nerve endings, primarily in the feet, are stimulated by specific massage techniques to effect changes in another part of the body. There are reflex areas corresponding to all the parts of the body and these areas are arranged in such a way as to form a map of the body in both the left and right foot. Reflexology is believed to stimulate the body's own healing mechanisms with many practitioners reporting success with problems such as sinusitis, asthma, migraine, depression, ME, muscular and skeletal disorders, menstrual problems, hypertension, bowel disorders.

The idea behind Reiki is that there are paths of energy that flow through our bodies and when one of more of these becomes blocked or disturbed this leads to illness. Reiki therapy is a way of correcting this by placing hands over certain parts of the body to re-channel the energy and reverse the problem.
