Campsite Etiquette

camping.jpg•    Take a trolley - otherwise you will be making loads of trips from the car to the campsite.

•    Choose your pitch carefully. Avoid areas at the bottom of a hill, near a tap or downwind from the loos or on a main route to the events.

•    Acknowledge your neighbours - it's likely that they will be your new best friends by the end of the weekend.

•    Be considerate to others. Late-night campsite noise - bongos, sound systems, loud conversation- is a total contravention of festival spirit.

•    If you require total peace and quiet, opt for the family camping field but be prepared to get woken early by the children next-door.

•    Take a plastic sheet to cover the bottom of your tent at night - otherwise you will be sleeping in the mud you brought into the tent during the day.

•    Do take a set of dry clothes in a sealed bag - for when everything else is totally soaked.

•    Remember to roll up your bedding during the day and put it away - that way it won't get damp when it pours with rain.

•    Remember where you camped. Hang something on your tent so that you can recognise it amongst the hundreds of other tents just like yours. Observe some landmarks to easily find your way home in the dark.  When you go out in the evening take your torch with you to find your way home later.

•    Keep your area tidy. Don't let your mess encroach onto your neighbours' territory.
