Taking it Further

Taking-futher.jpgAfter a few evening dates it is time to try a daytime date.

As this requires spending more time together, it is best left until the third or fourth date.

The relaxing qualities of alcohol may not feature so heavily during the daytime, if at all, so be sure that you are comfortable around each other before arranging this.

After about four or five dates, you can say that you are 'seeing someone' (this doesn't necessarily mean exclusively); six dates or more and you need to decide if you want things to get more serious or stop seeing each other.

When you are introducing them to friends while you are dating, you should say "This is (Susan/John)" rather than assuming too much - e.g. "This is my girlfriend/boyfriend".

Never presume that they are your girlfriend/boyfriend without asking (they will appreciate the opportunity to put things on a more formal footing).

Once you change your status on Facebook, then it's official and open to gossip…
