Visiting cards are rare, but their usage does persist in some areas as a pleasing social convention. Nowadays they are normally only used by women.

Cards should be used only in a social, rather than business, environments.

Modern cards should feature the individual's name, mobile telephone number and, if desired,  email address. The inclusion of a residential address is optional but rare.

Names and contact details are printed in the middle of the card. An address goes in the bottom left-hand corner.
