Win a Wadworth mini-cask
Win a mini-cask of Wadworth 6X ale
Closing date: 28-05-2010

Congratulations to Darren Cousins from Lymington, Ian Dallow from Swindon, Andrew Ferrill from Sheffield, James Picken from Dunfermline and Matthew Robins from Cranleigh, Surrey.
Our competition this month gives you a chance to win one of five 5-litre (8.8 pint) mini-casks of Wadworth 6X ale.
Wadworth first started producing ale in their Devizes brewery in 1875, and today supply beer to over 250 tied pubs in the heart of the West Country, otherwise known as 'Wadworthshire'. They remain a family-owned firm to this day, whose exclusive recipes and original brewing techniques are a closely guarded secret.
Wadworth 6X ale is described as a copper coloured beer with a malty, fruity nose and a restrained hop character, and it was developed in the immediate aftermath of the First World War. Restrictions during the Second World War required that its strength was set at 4.3%, and it remains the same to this day, despite its label, which describes it as a 'Super Strength Beer'.
