Our competition this month gives you the opportunity to adopt (at no charge) an olive tree from the Casa Margherita, Italy.

The olives from your tree will be picked by hand and watched over at the olive mill where they will be cold pressed until the olive oil comes pouring out golden green.

On winning the prize you will receive a presentation box of extra virgin olive oil (250ml) and an olive oil handbook. In summer you will receive a set of three infused olive oils and in autumn you will receive 2 litres of extra virgin olive oil from your own tree.

There is one second prize of two 500ml bottles of extra virgin olive oil. The third prize is a set of three 250ml tins of olive oil infused with lemon, thyme and chilli.

At the Casa Margherita in Umbria in the heart of Italy the olive trees are organically reared and hand tended. The olives are cold pressed and the oil unfiltered. Their acclaimed extra virgin olive oil (EVO) has a wonderful grassy flavour with a distinctly peppery finish.
