DEBRETT’S TRAINING MANAGER

With almost 250 years of expertise, Debrett's Academy is uniquely placed to share its knowledge of etiquette and British style.

Combining interactive contemporary training methods with this long-established expertise, Debrett’s Academy provides training for corporate clients and schools, delivered in the UK and overseas. As the Academy continues to expand, Debrett’s is looking for a dynamic and highly motivated training manager to join the existing team.

Activities:

  • Developing and conducting ongoing training, basic training programme design, tailoring and adaptation
  • Lead tutor for corporate programme delivery
  • Lead tutor for school programme delivery
  • Co-ordinate, direct and work alongside junior and expert tutors
  • TNA and TTT proficiency
  • SME in Debrett’s core content and international etiquette
  • Ability to rapidly gain a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements
  • Support the training director in assessing, accrediting and recruiting as the Academy team grows
  • Attending networking events to build contacts and develop commercial opportunities
  • Attending team meetings and sharing best practice with colleagues
  • International travel in support of the business requirements
  • Creating detailed proposal documents – mostly in PowerPoint
  • Recording client-related activity in the CRM database, Salesforce
  • Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations
  • Media spokesperson opportunities as a Debrett’s brand ambassador

Qualifications:

Any degree subject is acceptable; teaching qualifications and a minimum of 4 years experience are desirable. Coaching experience and a demonstration of commitment to CPD are preferred. 

Relevant experience gained in any commercial area is beneficial, particularly luxury brands or professional services, but applicants with backgrounds in educational settings will be considered.

Remuneration:            Starting salary £25,000 –£30,000 depending on experience

Sales Executive

Activities:

  • Cold calling to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails
  • Responding to incoming email and phone enquiries
  • Researching and analysing market and customer information to identify new customers and to tailor proposals
  • Representing the company at events
  • Creating detailed proposal documents – mostly in Powerpoint
  • Recording sales activity in the CRM database, Salesforce
  • Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
  • Gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements
  • Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations
  • Attending networking events to build contacts
  • Attending team meetings and sharing best practice with colleagues

Qualifications:

Any degree subject is acceptable

Relevant experience gained in any commercial area is beneficial, particularly sponsorship
